Do you renew from inside the country?
For Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Spain and Thailand, the official renewal wording points to a step taken in the country or online (for example: after the visa (up to 12 months), you can apply in Greece for a Digital Nomad Residence Permit. It is valid for up to 2 years and can be renewed for 2 more years at a time). Other programs don’t say, so ask the authority before you leave.
Do you have to meet the requirements again to renew?
Usually. The official wording for Brazil, Croatia and Malta spells out conditions, such as meeting the criteria again or (Croatia) a first grant shorter than 18 months. Check the program page for exactly what you have to show again.
