For people who can work independently of location: an active employment contract with a company registered outside Estonia, your own company registered abroad, or freelance work for clients mostly outside Estonia. Apply at your nearest Estonian Embassy; the process takes up to 30 days. Pick the visa up at the embassy; standard long-stay (D) visa rules and state fees apply (Police and Border Guard Board).
