Digital nomad visas with no set minimum income

7 open programs where the official source sets no income figure (Cape Verde and Uruguay) or publishes none (the rest). We quote what each authority asks for instead. No figure doesn’t mean no checks, so read each rule.

Quick answers

Is there a digital nomad visa with no income requirement?

Not quite, but two come close: no amount is set. Cape Verde Remote Working Program asks for proof of your average monthly income over the last 3 months (Decree-Law 13/2025 sets no minimum amount) (visit-caboverde.com, checked Oct 29, 2026) and Uruguay Digital Nomad Permit asks for a sworn declaration that you have enough means to support yourself (uruguayxxi.gub.uy, checked Oct 28, 2026). You still have to show you work remotely, and the other documents apply.

How much money do you need for Uruguay’s digital nomad permit?

Uruguay sets no figure: you sign a sworn declaration that you have enough means to support yourself (uruguayxxi.gub.uy, checked Oct 28, 2026). The permit lasts 180 days (Hoja de Identidad Provisoria) and is renewable once for another 180 days.

Does Cape Verde’s remote working visa have a minimum income?

No fixed minimum. Decree-Law 13/2025 asks for proof of your average monthly income over the last 3 months but sets no minimum amount (visit-caboverde.com, checked Oct 29, 2026). Fees: Visa fee €20/person; airport fee €34/person (once).

Which other visas don’t publish an income figure?

Argentina Digital Nomad Transitory Residence (asks for proof of your remote work (contract, company letter or income receipts)) and Montenegro Digital Nomad Temporary Residence (asks for proof of means of support). Partly verified: Albania, Bahamas and Curaçao. “No figure published” isn’t “no test”: the authority or consulate can still ask for bank statements, so check before you apply.

Is a formula-based threshold the same as no minimum?

No. Mexico, South Korea and Romania set their bar as a multiple of a national wage or index, so there is a minimum; it just moves. Those rules are quoted below, not ranked.

Which digital nomad visas have the lowest fixed income requirement?

Among verified programs with a fixed figure, the lowest are Ecuador Temporary Residence Visa – Remote Work (about $1,446/month; official rule: USD 1,446 per month: 3× Ecuador's 2026 Unified Basic Salary (SBU USD 482) for each of the 3 months before applying, or USD 17,352 a year (36 SBU)), Brazil Digital Nomad Visa (about $1,500/month; official rule: USD 1,500 per month from a foreign employer, or USD 18,000 in available funds) and Colombia Digital Nomad Visa (about $1,655/month; official rule: COP 5,252,715 per month: 3× Colombia's 2026 legal monthly minimum wage (SMMLV COP 1,750,905), shown in bank statements for the last 3 months). USD amounts are approximate, at exchange rates of Oct 20, 2026.

What about Peru and the Philippines?

Both have created a digital nomad visa in law without publishing an income figure, but neither is taking applications yet: Peru (not open yet, checked Oct 29, 2026 on gob.pe) and Philippines (not open yet, checked Oct 29, 2026 on lawphil.net).
